On April 5, 2023 Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya H.E. Andrii Pravednyk met with the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Roads and Transport of Kenya Hon. Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen.
Ambassador informed Cabinet Secretary about destructive consequences of Russian criminal attacks against Ukrainian civil infrastructure, as well as measures taken by the Government of Ukraine, with assistance of international partners, to stabilize the work of energy and transport systems of the country. The Cabinet Secretary stressed that Kenya appreciates longstanding friendly relations with Ukraine and is amazed by the resilience of Ukrainian people. He also expressed his gratitude for wheat assistance provided to Kenya under ‘Grain from Ukraine’ humanitarian program.
Counterparts discussed perspective bilateral projects in the fields of food security, maritime and air transport, as well as issues of strengthening Ukrainian – Kenyan legal basis in the transport sphere.
