Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr.Andrii Pravednyk presented his credentials to H.E.Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda

On April 22, 2022 Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr.Andrii Pravednyk presented his credentials to H.E.Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda. The official ceremony was held at the President’s Office in Kigali.
During the meeting, the President of Rwanda expressed his solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine and conveyed his condolences to the Ukrainian people and personally to the President of Ukraine H.E. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in connection with the crimes committed by the Russian troops in Ukraine.
Ambassador Andrii Pravednyk first of all expressed his gratitude to the President Paul Kagame for his support and in particular stated:
"This is my second visit to Rwanda and I am increasingly fascinated by your country. The tragedy of the 1994 genocide did not break the Rwandans - instead, the Rwandan nation has become even more united and revived its State to a new reality. Such example in today's circumstances gives hope to the Ukrainian people."
In addition, the Ambassador mentioned that there is a high potential for further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Rwanda in many areas. In this connection the Sides agreed to start working on establishing a legal framework of the Ukraine-Rwanda cooperation.
"The land of a thousand hills'', as Rwanda is also called, is a fast-growing country and one of Ukraine's most promising trade and economic partners in the East African region.
