On April 28, 2022, the movies Toloka” by Director Mykhailo Illienko, “Thanks” – short film by Maksym Liukov and “On One’s Own Land” – also a short film, directed by Oleksandr Kyrienko were screened at “Anga Diamond Cinema” Nairobi, Kenya as a part of 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Kenya and the "Watch Ukrainian!" Association with the support of Anga Diamond Cinema.

In his welcoming speech, H.E. Mr.Andrii Pravednyk, Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya and Rwanda, thanked the guests for their support and solidarity with Ukraine, as well as expressed confidence that with the support of international community, Ukraine will definitely win the war and restore its economy for the future of all citizens. Ms. Marina Kuderchuk, The Ukrainian State Film Agency, and Mykhailo Ilyenko, the Director of the Toloka film, addressed the audience by their video statements before the screening.

The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions in Kenya, including the Ambassadors of Slovakia, Australia, Chile and Colombia, diplomats from Poland, Austria, Italy and others, as well as the representatives of Kenyan media and artistic circles of Kenya. The participants expressed their condolences and deep support to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in our struggle against the Russian invader.

The 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 is initiated by The Ukrainian State Film Agency in cooperation with the Ukrainian Film Academy, the “Watch Ukrainian!” Association, Ukrainian Film Association, NGO “UkrKinoFest”, NGO “Union of TV and Film Industry Entrepreneurs”, NGO “Finally”, "KYIVKINOFILM", CF “The Doors” and the “Center for the Development of the Creative Industries”.
