Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya H.E. Andrii Pravednyk held a productive meeting today with the Cabinet Secretary for Defence of Kenya Hon. Soipan Tuya.

Ukrainian and Kenyan sides discussed a wide array of subjects in the field of Defence.

“It would help us to cover new areas of cooperation, to strengthen the defence forces of both sides” – said H.E. Andrii Pravednyk.

Ukrainian Ambassador has reaffirmed that Ukraine seeks peace more than any other country and is suggesting effective and comprehensive strategies to achieve a just and lasting peace agreement as soon as possible.

The defence capabilities of Ukrainian armed forces had secured food exports under the framework of “Grain from Ukraine” program, initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 

One of the main strategies amidst the war of aggression against Ukraine and after achieving the lasting peace is strengthening Ukrainian position as a food exporter to Kenya and many other countries. 

“War is a very uncomfortable situation… When news of peace is coming its music to our ears. We really hope the peace is restored and we will see Ukraine feeding the world” -- Hon. Soipan Tuya has stated.

H.E. Andrii Pravednyk and Hon. Soipan Tuya agreed to continue the Ukrainian Kenyan dialog and developing cooperation in many areas of strategic interest.
