"LAPSSET Corridor Project" is a regional project that was founded on 2 March 2012 with the support of the Presidents of Kenya and South Sudan and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

The purpose of the project is to create a transport and economic corridor that connects roads, railways and pipelines of Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia and is intended to provide seamless connectivity, enhance trade and logistics within the region by providing an alternative and strategic way to serve the landlocked neighboring countries of Ethiopia and South Sudan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of participation of Ukrainian companies in this project.
