Ukraine-Comoros cooperation 

February 10, 2015 A diplomat of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Kenya held a meeting with the Honorary Consul of the Union of the Comoros in Nairobi Manzoorali Kanana.

 During the meeting the sides discussed some aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, cultural, humanitarian and economic spheres.

Ukrainian diplomat provided the unbiased information on the situation in the east of Ukraine and the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.

 More specifically Ukraine informed about temporary regime of Ukrainian ports in Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, which are closed for international shipping.

 In his turn, M.Kanani thanked for initiating this meeting, stressed the importance of Ukraine-Comoros cooperation, noting significant prospects for its development, and assured that the information will be brought to the Foreign Minister and the President of the Comoros.

 At the end of the meeting the Ukrainian side thanked the Honorary Consul for support of presidential elections in Ukraine and for being one of the first to greet Petro Poroshenko as the President of Ukraine.
