Today Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya H.E. Andrii Pravednyk held an on-line meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife of the Republic of Kenya Hon. Najib Balala.
During the meeting the Sides noted a high potential of further strengthening of the partnership and expanding the ties between Ukraine and Kenya in a number of areas. Among other issues, the counterparts discussed the challenges in the tourism sphere in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the meeting the Sides have reached the agreement concerning the establishment of a direct dialogue between the Kenya Tourism Board and the Ukrainian tour operators.
Ambassador H.E. Andrii Pravednyk noted that today the search for new tourist destinations is an important factor in the work of Ukrainian tour operators. In this regard, the first direct flight Kyiv - Mombasa scheduled for April 17, 2021 is an evidence of a great interest of the Ukrainian travelers to visit Kenya, which offers unique opportunity to enjoy traditional recreation combined with exploration the wildlife of Africa.
