A candle of remembrance commemorating the 86th anniversary of Holodomor was lit in Nairobi

It became a tradition for Ukrainian community in Kenya to meet at the Orthodox Patriarchal Cathedral of Sts. Cosmas and Damian to commemorate the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Holodomor.
As Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Pravednyk mentioned, it is first of all important that the Ukrainians themselves remember and honour their rich history and in particular its tragic pages. Only then we – the Ukrainians, will have our future and will be heard by the world community.
