On the 26th of April Ukraine and the whole world commemorate the 29th anniversary of Chernobyl disaster. 

Bearing in mind the consequences of the largest technological disaster in the history, on this day Ukrainians in Kenya have joined the "Cycle for Life" event held in one of the natural parks of Kenya’s capital Nairobi – Karura Forest.

The 15 km ride, attended by the representatives of local diplomatic corps and the public, was followed by the charity event in support of the environment.

In an effort to preserve the ecology of Karura Forest, which constitutes an integral part of local and global ecosystems and needs recovery, Ukrainians planted rare examples of trees of indigenous fauna of Kenya and streamed the Ukrainian flag amid the young seedlings.
