Tanzania is one of Ukraine's major trade and economic partners in the East Africa.

Bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and Tanzania in 2021 amounted to 51.2 million USD.

Exports from Ukraine to Tanzania comprised 47.15 million USD (35.4% growth compared to 2020), imports - 4.05 million USD (79.5% of the same period in 2020).

The main items of exports of goods from Ukraine to Tanzania were: cereals - 31.08 million USD (65.9% of total export), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin - 8.81 million USD (18.7% of total export), ferrous metals - 4.01 million USD (8.5% of total export), electric vehicles - 867 thousand USD (1.8% of total export), boilers and machinery - 543 thousand USD (1.2% of total export).

The main items of imports of goods from Tanzania were: plastics, polymeric materials - 1.76 million USD (43.5% of total import), tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes - 660 thousand USD (16.3% of total import), edible fruits and nuts - 572 thousand USD (14.1% of total import), coffee, tea - 573 thousand USD (14.1% of total import).

Trade in services between Ukraine and Tanzania in 2021 made up 10.61 million. Export of services from Ukraine to Tanzania amounted to 1.05 million (77.4% growth compared to 2020), imports - 9.56 million USD (166.5% growth compared to 2020).
